Endless Potential

About me

I started with studying biology after finishing high school, though after a few years I recognized that it wasn’t what I wanted for the rest of my life. At the recommendation of my brother, I switched to studying video game development and finished my bachelor’s in 2020. I then decided to take on a master’s degree in The Programming of Interactive Technologies through a scholarship which I then finished in 2022. I loved what I learned about video game development, working with 3D modeling, animation, and working with Unreal Engine to fully development game prototypes, though when I started fully coding in C++ and working with HTML and CSS, I knew I wanted to keep learning about software engineering. I’m currently looking to begin working in the industry as a full-stack developer, in the meantime I usually find myself furthering my coding knowledge taking online courses or working on my personal project of developing a fitness app.

Work Experience

American Storage & Distribution

Software Engineer Consultant

August 2024 – September 2024

  • Developed a website to facilitate generating complex documents for submission to an external system.
  • The site expedites creating the document, which was previously handled by a 3rd party, saving the company an estimated $1000/mo.
  • Engaged with stakeholders, including the Treasury Department of Puerto Rico, to verify requirements and ensure the accuracy of documents.
  • Technologies used were Angular for the coding of the website, while GitHub was used for code storage, and Netlify for website hosting.

WinNet Connections

Data Analyst & Jr. Programmer

March 2023 – October 2023

  • Revamped proprietary sites, including the complete redesign of the company website using React and TailwindCSS.
  • Automated data processing and document generation through development of Python scripts, reducing the need to manually process thousands of records on a day-to-day basis.
  • Developed Excel Add-Ins with JavaScript to execute data validation on various columns based on data type.
  • Collaborated in pair programming, having senior engineers review my work.

Fitness App (WIP)

  • Currently a work-in-progress, the front-end is mostly finished.
  • Using Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, and TailwindCSS for the front-end development.
  • Using Spring Boot, Java, and PostgreSQL for the back-end development.
